Ovarian cancer occurs when abnormal cells grow in any one of the ovaries or in both the ovaries. Ovarian cancer cause pain during the later stages as the woman or sufferer might not have any clue about it in the earlier stages. When it is found it would spread to most of the parts already. The reasons for ovarian cancer pain and how it occurs is still a maze. Certain women with a cancer history might be prone to ovarian cancer pain. Even women without any history of cancer might also experience ovarian cancer pain.

Ovarian cancer pain without or with symptoms. Some of the symptoms that are felt when a women is suffering from ovarian cancer pain includes belly swelling, pain in the abdomen region, gas, stomach upset, constipation or diarrhea.

Normally, ovarian cancer pain and can be diagnosed by a doctor while examining the pelvic region. The doctor might feel or doubt for the presence of a lump on or inside the ovary which can be confirmed by sending the biopsies that are taken while performing the surgery. Normally an incision is made in the belly which would help him to look inside the belly region. It should be kept in mind that the lumps that are found might not be necessarily cancer.
